I am also working on a Moroccan patterned jewelry holder, but I misplaced the hooks so I can't finish it until I track them down. (I'm good for doing 5 things at once and leaving trails of my stuff EVERYWHERE when my husband isn't home. I found my stereo remote in the bathroom drawer the other day because I go into super-clean-up mode 20 minutes before he gets home and things end up in strange places.) I will post the photo as soon as I can find them, if we get some sunlight today.

Tomorrow I am heading out to Virginia to visit a great friend of mine, so all orders placed after 1:00 p.m. EST on Thursday will be shipped on Tuesday (October 2nd).

I am currently searching for ink that I can use for block printing onto fabric. As soon as I find one that I am happy with, I will begin posting textiles for the home. I'm shooting for the first or second week of October. If you know of a great ink (I have 2 in mind but I am always up for suggestions) feel free to post about it.

New colors and patterns.

I'm introducing some new colors and patterns later on today, including these ones:

They will be horizontal jewelry display pieces with hooks adorning the narrower strip of color.

New block prints to include horseshoes, houses and fish. I'm not sure which ones will be released today, but at least one will make it into the shop.

Slowly getting there...

I really want to get this blog going but it seems like such a monotonous task to me right now. I'd rather be getting new things ready, you know? But, it's something i want up and running by October so I suppose now is the time, before I get too far ahead of myself.

Here is the current agenda for Yellow Canoe:

September 19-October 1- Five to six more coptic bound hard cover journals to be listed.
September 24, week of- New design to be introduced.
September 24, week of- New jewelry holders featuring newest design.
October 1-15- Office supplies to be listed. Items will include pencil holders, magazine butlers and small storage boxes.
October 8-22- Hand sewn and printed pillows, table runners, place mats, etc.
November- Printed door mats/mats to stand on while doing dishes, for lack of a better term.

I am going to try to stick to this schedule as much as possible but if anything should change, I will correct the dates.

Onto product photos. These are just a few of the items that are currently available in the shop as of September 19th. Please note, a few things have been sold already but similar items may be added soon.
